Yesterday the water pressure got low and today my toilet fill tank will not fill up. Only tons and tons of little white beads keep coming out of the cold water side. The hot water is clear no white beads. The beads are the same size. They are the size of betta fish food. I have never seen this. Its in the kitchen and bathroom. What could it be And how do I stop it. I rent so I have to wait for the plumber till tomorrow evening. I have bathroom and cant even use it. No showers no toilet or sink.

We are remodeling our kitchen and have very traditional cherry wood cabinets. The stain is a darker cherry with some brown… almost closer to a walnut color but still cherry. Wall paint is a share of yellow. trim and doors are antique white. The travertine floor tile is a very light, neutral "snow" or off white. Granite is medium red/pink, backsplash is neutral travertine/off white/light tan tones. Everything is very traditional looking. Appliances are SS and all faucets/fixtures are brushed nickel.
What type of table should we choose for our kitchen? Stone would clash with the granite, i think. Would like a rectangular wood table with a leaf but won’t the wood clash with my cabinets? I’m open to glass (but my wife thinks it will be too had to keep the finger prints off it). I’ve searched online but nothing seems to fit right.
Does anyone with similar kitchens have any pics or ideas?
Thanks all!

I recently installed a Glacier Bay faucet, model 67099-1001. The kitchen sink sprayer keeps wrapping around the water valves, making me nuts because I can’t pull it out. I need to disconnect it, situate it next to the water valves, and then reconnect it.
The connector is a white plastic boxy thingamajig. I can’t remember how I connected it, it seemed pretty simple. I think it just snapped together, but my memory is not good. I CANNOT find it online. The instructions on home depot site barely show this connector thing.
My back is killing me from trying to look at it, and I certainly do not want to break it. Can someone please help a gal out? How do I disconnect this plastic connector thingy????
Thank you!!!!
I don’t want to unscrew the sprayer and feed it through the hole because that clip thing is extremely difficult to get off and on.
I must not be communicating my question correctly, because I am not seeing an answer that addresses it. HOW DO I DISCONNECT THE WHITE PLASTIC THING THAT IS CONNECTING THE SPRAYER HOSE TO THE FAUCET?

What is it like to be iced-in at a Christmas party with about twenty boys and eight girls? Well, to sum it up in one word, crazy. What started out as a Christmas party for the eighth grade, turned out to be a lock-in, complete with movies and staying up until six forty-five am.
It started out as a cold December day. I had the eighth grade Christmas party that day. Walking outside my room, I discovered I was the only one up. About that time, I reached the kitchen and started heating up water for hot chocolate. I then went into the living room and turned on the television. After flipping through the guide and selecting a show, my hot chocolate was ready. I was going to get up and get the tasty drink but my show came on at that time so I let the water continue to boil. After a while, the kettle stopped whistling because the water had evaporated out. I turned off the TV and went to turn off the stove. After my failed attempt at making hot chocolate, I went and got dressed to go to the party. Once I chose my attire and put it on, I wrapped my present for the white elephant gift exchange which was a stuffed Grinch.
Soon, it was time to leave. My mom was taking me to the Tenenbaum’s house. They lived about thirty minutes away from me. At the Tenenbaum’s, all of the girls were baking cookies and other sweets. Upon my arrival, I discovered five other girls had already been dropped off and were cooking. We made chocolate covered Oreo’s, oatmeal raison cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and many other things. We also experimented with icing. The icing had about ten different types of hot sauces and seasonings in it. We made sugar cookies and put the hot icing on it for all of the guys who were at the Fickle’s house playing airsoft. Once we were done making cookies, we all piled into Mrs. Tenenbaum’s car and drove over to the Fickle’s. On the way there, all the girls and I could do was giggle happily and talk about how the guys were going to react to the cookies. Once we arrived, we set up the regular sweets in the dining room and handed out the spicy cookies to the boys. Not surprisingly, when the boys took a bite, their faces were priceless! Some boys spit out the cookie bite, some ran to find a water bottle, some tried to scrape the horrid taste off of their tongue, and some even put their head directly under the kitchen faucet!
After all of the boys got over the cookies, we started white elephant. We all drew numbers to see who would go first. I got fourteen. “Number one, go ahead and choose your present.” Mrs. Fickle called out. The first person went up and chose a present. It went like this for a while. Soon, it was my turn. I looked around at all the presents that were already opened. I thought about stealing the amusing turkey hat with the planet smoothie gift card but decided I wanted to open a present instead. I carefully chose out a random present that was about the size of a shoe box. I tore the paper off and opened the box. Inside, I found a can of tuna. My friend, Caleb, had wrapped up a can of tuna! No one ever stole my can of tuna. My friend, Kelley, ended up with my Grinch. Caleb got a Grinch as well. My friend Olivia got a signed picture from my friend, Grant Fickle, as well as a Third Day Christmas CD from his mother. Mrs. Fickle gave me a CD as well due to the fact that I earned a can of tuna. During white elephant, Mrs. Fickle told all of us to call our parents and tell them that they needed to pick us up early because the roads were starting to ice over. After everyone called their parents, some children were going to stay the night at the Fickle’s. I told my mom she could try to make it but I did not think she was going to. Some of the moms who were chaperoning decided to leave then. Several of the girls attempted to leave with Mrs. Tenenbaum but she could not even get up the second hill in the Fickle’s neighborhood. Some made it out of the neighborhood, but could not make it much further. Most turned around and came back. One mom, Mrs. Buhler, got stuck for two hours. My friend’s father, Mr. Powell, ended up retrieving Mrs. Buhler and her son, Simeon, back to the Fickle’s.
Once everyone was back to the house, a few of the girls and Caleb decided to sit down and sing worship songs. Caleb played the guitar and we all sang. It started out with just six people but slowly, more came to join in. By the last song, everyone was in the room, worshiping and singing praises to the Lord. Eventually, Mrs. Fickle came in and said it was “turtle time”, which is a time to sit and calm down after the day was over. Mrs. Fickle pulled out two books to read to us. They were called “Cow on the Tracks” and the second one was a large story book which Mrs. Fickle read the story “St. George and the Dragon” from.
As Mrs. Fickle started reading “Cow on the Tracks”, one of the boys, Simeon, called out, saying “Are you sure this book is age appropriate?” The whole room burst out laughing. Later, Jesse Heard called out, “I think I know the moral of this story: minced meat.” And there was another burst of laughter. Once Mrs. Fickle finished reading both stories, the girls and guys separated. The guys were upstairs, and the girls were on the main level as well as the basement. The six chaperones decided to put in a movie called “One Night with the King” to watch and a few girls came in to watch too. It was about midnight when my best friend, Brittni Hoover, and I went into the other room and fell asleep on the comfortable air mattress.
When I woke up in the morning, it was about seven thirty. The coffee maker was going. There were not many people up, a few of the chaperones, myself, and I could hear the guys upstairs. That was when Mrs. Buhler came in, half asleep. I asked her how she slept and she
This is my personal narrative that i had to write for school….. just so you know…

I have a narrow galley kitchen and my cabinets are white. My husband and I are slowly replacing the appliances as they go out, recently we bought a new dishwasher and we decided to go with white since the cabinets are white and the kitchen is so narrow, it looks great, blends nice with the cabinets. We will probably get a new fridge next, the current one we have is white, I am thinking white but my husband likes the stainless look. Our hardware on the cabinets is nickle and so is the faucet…so it would probably go ok….would you stick with white to match the dishwasher to keep the appliances the same color, or go with the stainless? I like both, doesn’t matter to me, I just don’t know what would flow the best…thanks for advice
I think i am going to go with white, because i do think the stainless would be an eye sore in my kitchen since its so narrow, stupid galley kitchens!!
Thanks everyone

Just re-doing our kitchen, and we have elected an antique white, raised panel cupboard for our perimeter (all appliances are bisque), but the granite is antique brown. The sink is stainless steel, under-mount sink. Our island is contrasting the perimeter in dark chocolate cupboards, with a Kashmir white granite counter tops. We have chosen bronze for our hardware (leaning towards weathered versus oil rubbed). The light fixture is a brushed nickel, and the adjacent doors, and pantry are brass. I fell like there are a lot of metals already, but with a dark counter top, and stainless steel sink…what colour to I choose for my faucet???

Around January, the kitchen faucet would not turn off. We got a plumber, and he installed new faucet and I think half a pipe too. There was a lot of heavy vibration with the machinery at the time. OK, so that works then.
In February, the water pressure seemed to be dying there, both that new kitchen faucet, and the untouched (by the plumber, we used it regularly) bathroom A sink faucet. Finally it got to the point where only 4 drops per minute came out of kitchen, and a slow stream out of bathroom one. Bathroom A shower was slightly less, but no big deal.
End of February, friend’s dad suggests we undo the tip of faucet and clear it out if there’s anything there. We find many small white mini-rock things. Once they’re rinsed out, the two sink faucets work great! Every week or so though, they start accumulating the junk, but now we know how to clear them out.
Now, this past March, Bathroom B’s shower (where its sink finally starting messing up, but was easily remedied by above method) is showing some weakness. Shower in bathroom A is pitiful. There’s no white stuff in any of the showerhead/mesh things we’ve used. Started off with a 2.5 gallon per minute, then we used a 2.0 to better use the little bit of water, and then more recently a 1.5 gpm. But now even that one is severely weak. What can we do to fix this problem?
I’ve HEARD that somehow (perhaps using a straw and a blowdart method) shooting up baking soda and then vinegar into the pipe will dissolve those white rock deposits and allow more water to run, which will get them to the mesh thing so I can just clean them out like I do the other sinks. Is there something else we can try? Don’t want t get a plumber unless we have to, as their hourly rate is ridiculous.
Thanks in advance!
Thanks Smilly, but the showerheads (plural) have ALL been clear, or else I would thus clean them like I have the small twistable ends of the faucets :< Like I said.
Ack, another thing I forgot to mention which is why I am practically positive the problem is NOT in the showerhead. I did mention we’ve bought two brand new ones, BUT when they are removed and it’s only open pipe, the water pressure is MUCH less than is should be. So, the problem is NOT in the actual showerhead.

am getting ready to put this house on the market for what is a great price in this neighborhood. We are trying to downsize and are tired of being landlords. We have just installed a new water pump for the well, a new water heater, will possibly be putting in new HVAC. The exterior will be repainted a little darker grey, with white trim and black shutters. The carpet is relatively new and is high end. There is newer tile in the kitchen and both bathrooms. New faucets, toilet seats, etc.
I am looking for suggestions to make this home stand out, without putting a ton of money into it. I mean, it is really a good deal already!! Please give honest feedback! Thanks!

Would you buy this house??? If so, which group are you in (first time homebuyer? Downsizing? Retiring?, etc.)?
I agree with the dining room. Although, it isn’t pink, but more red. We painted it that color when we lived in the house. I was tired of boring khaki walls (we buy & sell homes) and needed a bit of color. So far all the renters have loved it, but we may paint to sell.
The shutters are already painted black (as noted in post). We are going to be adding more flowers. It actually already looks much better on the outside. We will be changing the pictures once everything is done.
Keep the comments coming!! Thanks!
Quilt_mommy—Yes, there is a large storage shed, with some shelving, tons of outlets and even has an air conditioning unit! Plus there is an "outside" part of the shed that is like a covered carport for a ride-on lawnmower (remember….huge yard!). This covered area also has a long bench to do wood working or arrange potted plants, etc.
Wanna come see the house? Shoot me an e-mail. : )
